Woodgreen in the New Forest - Woodgreen is the a pretty village on the Western edge of the New Forest, near Fordingbridge.

It's between Braemore and Hale, just East of the River Avon.

Most Internet references about Woodgreen mention that in 1973 it was featured by the BBC and became known as "The Village on the Wall", thanks to the murals in Woodgreen village hall painted by two students from the London College of Art in 1931.

To get a feel for the New Forest village of Woodgreen, you could try this 1 Mile Woodgreen Walk.

There's a good pub in Woodgreen called the The Horse and Groom.

This is a great place to stay to explore the New Forest, with some superb Bed and Breakfast accommodation and Holiday Cottages, such as Cottage Crest.
