Lymington in the New Forest - Lymington is a small coastal town right on the Southern edge of the New Forest National Park.

It has many small shops in it's cobbled streets, catering for both the tourist and sailing fraternity. The town of Lymington is situated where the River Lymington flows into the Solent, and is renowned world wide as a sailing resort.

Lymington has a marina and is a port for the Wight Link Ferry, which is a popular route to the Isle of Wight, with 26 crossings daily and a crossing time of 1/2 hour.

Lymington was once an important ship building town, and also once notorious for smuggling. Smugglers tunnels go beneath the town quay, running underneath the town.
