New Forest Pubs
Pubs in the New Forest - Here's a selection of some of the best pubs and inns to be found in or near the New Forest Country Park.
 |
One of our favourite pubs in the New Forest is the Waterloo Arms at Lyndhurst. A few hundred yards from the main road, at the turning for Pykes Hill. It has a great selection of beers and a couple of draft ciders. The food at this New Forest pub is to a high standard, which means it's busy even through the winter months. This pub has a very well kept relaxing beer garden, perfect for hot summers days. |

The New Forest Inn in the tiny village of Emery Down in the New Forest. It's very popular with walkers and cyclists. It serves good food and has a beer garden. There's often a few New Forest ponies outside. The menu describes a circular walking route starting and finishing at the New Forest Inn, ideal to walk your lunch off. |

The Redshoot Inn is actually also a small brewery, and people come from miles around to sample the beers on tap here which may include Muddy Boot, Forest Gold, Tom's Tipple and Forest Grump, as well as other seasonal brews. The Redshoot Inn serves good food, and has a camp site at the rear. There's several beer festivals each year. |

A popular pub in the New Forest is the Fighting Cocks at Godshill. This pub is set in a very scenic location, and on the route of some great New Forest walks, which makes it a popular destination for daytrippers and tourists as well as local people. Add to this Real Ale, food, a well equipped play area and an ample sized carpark, you can see why this is so popular with passing tourists. |
